Yes generating income for your creativity is great but, it is more than that. Steemit is a place where creative people can share ideas and connect with each other. _______ _______

I of course was talking up Steemit because those are the people that need to know about this platform. The event was great and I was able to make a lot of connections with artists, writers, musicians, photographers and videographers. It was so satisfying to see all those creative minds in one place. @JacobVanLysick and I decided to make it a monthly event because of the response we received from the Miami locals. I figured since we are doing this for creatives we should promote steemit to them and get as many people aware of it. _______ _______

The last event was funded by @jacobvanlysick from his own pockets because he is all about connecting people and good music. This time we hope to have a majority of it funded by the Steem community so we can bring people that have high quality content here. The next event is July 27th @fussestudios, which gives us enough time to make this work. _______ _______

Please follow and upvote any post regarding our Steem Meet-up event #LinkMiami. A list of things we need and our funding goal will be posted this week. If you would like to donate before then please send Steem/SBD to @MusicEvolving with the memo “LINK MIAMI”. Everyone who donates before the event will have their username displayed on our screens as well as have the new members we get to follow you. If you donate and are in the Miami area you get to join us at no cost for an open bar/bbq party @fussestudios. We will be very grateful for any help. One of the main things we need is to have enough steem/sbd to create new accounts on the spot for the guests. I have told many people about steemit but they get frustrated that it takes so long, so they forget about it and never confirm their accounts. So it is important that we have enough for instant signups at the very least. I feel that this is a great use of steem to get people who are already creating high quality content for other social media sites.
