Selamat siang sahabat hivers semuanya di manapun anda berada, semoga kita semua selalu di berikan kesehatan oleh Tuhan yang Maha kuasa. Tidak terasa lebaran tinggal sebentar lagi, minal aidzin wal faidzin aja untuk teman-teman semua mohon maaf lahir dan batin.

Sudah menjadi adat dan tradisi di kampung saya kalau menjelang hari raya pasti setiap warga pada bersih-bersih makam almarhum-almarhum keluarga leluhurnya. Karena setelah setahun makamnya pasti penuh ilalang dan daun-daunan sementara itu anak-anak yang tinggalnya jauh biasanya cuma bisa datang di libur panjang hari raya, dari sini asal-usul tradisi itu. Seperti pada foto-foto yang saya unggah ini adalah foto-foto makam almarhum nenek dan kakek saya, yang kebetulan juga baru di perbaiki kemarin-kemarin dengan membuat bangunan rumah di atas makamnya. Tradisi dikampung halaman saya adalah membuat makam orang tua sebagai tempat istirahat yang senyaman mungkin buat mereka yang sudah meninggal. Semakin bagus makamnya, tandanya makin besar rasa hormat anaknya.

Kegiatan bersih-bersih makam ini saya lakukan bersama bapak dan paman-paman saya kemarin sore pada hari minggu. Dan pas bertepatan dengan hari minggu kemarin jadinya banyak juga para warga yang bersih-bersih di kuburan. Saya yakin mungkin teman-teman hivers semua juga banyak yang masih melaksanakan tradisi seperti ini di kampung. Nah di bawah ini adalah foto-foto makam almarhum nenek dan kakek saya yang saya ambil kemarin pas waktu bersih-bersih makamnya.

Time passed so fast. Eid al Fitr is coming soon, at this nice moments I want to greet you all "Minal aidin wal faidzin", means: I am apologizing to you for everything I've done and said, that was done in my awareness and also that didn't realise.

In my village, or maybe in many other places in Indonesia there is a tradition that is done every year, normally before the biggest holiday in the country. In Indonesia it means before Lebaran (the closing days of Ramadhan). The people will visit the graveyard of their ancestors and clean them up. After a year the graveyard will be covered by wild grass, leaves etc. Children normally live faraway from their hometown after they are older, so they can only visit once a year when they have a long holiday. This is maybe why we have this tradition.
As in the photos I have uploaded, these are photos of the burial sites of my deceased grandmother and grandfather, which were repaired few days ago.

I and my uncles have worked together to make a little building with woods to house the burial sites. It is normal in our hometown that we make the grave a comfortable resting place for the ancestors. The more it looks good, it shows that the respect is bigger. I did this grave cleaning activity with my fathers and uncles yesterday afternoon on Sunday. And just as it coincided with last Sunday, there were also many residents cleaning at the cemetery. I am sure that maybe all of our hivers friends in Indonesia are still carrying out this kind of tradition in the village. So below are photos of the graves of my late grandmother and grandfather that I took yesterday while cleaning their graves.
