The Indonesian Steemit Community makes the history again. This time in the 1St Steemit Meetup Bandung in Cimahi, West Java, on February 16, 2018. The history of this time feels dramatic because hundreds of Steemians from various regions of Indonesia-especially from Aceh-flock to Bandung and continue their journey to Cimahi, 1St Steemit Meetup Bandung takes place.

Saving to Bandung

History of this time feels so dramatic because the participants have been present in Bandung since February 14, 2018. In fact, the new committee will provide lodging in Neglasari Villa for the participants a day later or on 15 February. This proves the spirit of the Steemians to enliven the 1St Steemit Meetup Bandung is remarkable. From their posts and from their stories, I know that members of the Indonesian Steemit Community (KSI) have been planning the trip for a long time. They are saving Steem Blockchain Dollars (SBD) to Bandung.

What a touch. KSI loyalty members from Aceh like the spirit Bobotoh (term for Persib Bandung supporters) in support Persib match in various cities in Indonesia. For KSI members from Aceh, the event is also a chance to walk and vacation to Bandung. Their arrival adds to the stalled Bandung, mingle with the tourists inside and outside the country who chose Bandung as a place to enjoy a weekend getaway.

Creativity no limit

The organizing committee of 1St Steemit Meetup Bandung intelligently packed the event with other activities such as paintings by Bahar Malaka or better known as Kang Bahar. Attraction painting is done with musical accompaniment and lasts before the activity of Steemit begins. All the participants drifted in the creativity of Kang Bahar who painted with his bare hands and his T-shirt. The palms of the hands and fingers and clippings of the T-shirts are used as brushes. "I use a God-given brush, the palm of the hand," said Kang Bahar who has dreadlocks like singer Bob Marley.

The painting was eventually auctioned at an opening price of Rp1,000,000. Two Counselors of KSI Chapter Bireuen, @dokter-purnama and @razack-pulo, and Chairman of KSI Chapter Bireuen, @bahagia-arbi, mutually increase the price of the painting. Finally, @doctor-Purnama locks the price of the painting at position Rp6.500.000. "Since I first saw Kang Bahar on a motorcycle, I have sympathy," @dokter-purnama.

Creativity Cimahi artists are deserves thumbs up. They remain faithful to work in the midst of a low appreciation of the work of art. Loyalty to works and creativity should be an inspiration for Steemians to never complain when the rewards are minimal. Artist Cimahi did with the work and the award came later. Cimahi City Government support is not in the form of funds, but support facilities. The idea of activity still comes from the artist community.

From Aceh to Nusantara

From Bandung to Cimahi should be taken less than 30 minutes, that's the information we received from the committee. However, since the weekend encounters a national holiday, many roads in Bandung are jammed, especially towards Lembang. This made some of the Meetup agenda sluggish, though it did not diminish the festivity.

Meetup event begins after the auction ends. Although it takes place in Cimahi, but in fact this stage belongs to the Steemians of Aceh origin, where Steemit grew and flourished first before spreading throughout the archipelago. Beyond that, the visitors also discussed outside the stage with many members of KSI who first became an account at Steemit. The presence of Steemians from Medan, Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi, making the event more festive. Among the Steemians, there was a first time meeting.

In addition to the artist community, as well as many other communities that are present in 1St Steemit Meetup Bandung, among them community storyteller. Some of them already have accounts in Steemit, but some are new to Steemit that day. Really, Steemians Aceh has spread the "virus" Steemit to the archipelago.

Komunitas Steemit Indonesia kembali mencetak sejarah. Kali ini dalam pelaksanaan 1St Steemit Meetup Bandung di Cimahi, Jawa Barat, pada 16 Februari 2018. Sejarah kali ini terasa dramatis karena ratusan Steemians dari berbagai daerah di Indonesia—terutama dari Aceh—berduyun-duyun datang ke Bandung dan melanjutkan perjalanan ke Cimahi, lokasi 1St Steemit Meetup Bandung berlangsung.

Menabung ke Bandung

Sejarah kali ini terasa begitu dramatis karena para peserta sudah hadir di Bandung sejak 14 Februari 2018. Padahal, panitia baru akan menyediakan penginapan di Vila Neglasari bagi para peserta sehari setelahnya atau pada 15 Februari. Ini membuktikan semangat para Steemian untuk meramaikan 1St Steemit Meetup Bandung sungguh luar biasa. Dari postingan mereka dan dari cerita mereka, saya tahu ternyata anggota Komunitas Steemit Indonesia (KSI) sudah merencanakan perjalanan tersebut sejak lama. Mereka menabung Steem Blockchain Dollars (SBD) ke Bandung.

Sungguh mengharukan. Kesetiaan anggota KSI dari Aceh seperti semangat Bobotoh (sebutan bagi pendukung Persib Bandung) dalam mendukung pertandingan Persib di berbagai kota di Indonesia. Bagi anggota KSI asal Aceh, even tersebut sekaligus menjadi kesempatan jalan-jalan dan liburan ke Bandung. Kedatangan mereka ikut menambah macetnya Bandung, berbaur dengan para turis dalam dan luar negeri yang memilih Bandung sebagai tempat menikmati liburan akhir pekan.

Kreativitas tanpa batas

Panitia pelaksana 1St Steemit Meetup Bandung dengan cerdas mengemas acara tersebut dengan kegiatan lain seperti lukisan karya Bahar Malaka atau lebih dikenal dengan panggilan Kang Bahar. Atraksi melukis dilakukan dengan iringan musik dan berlangsung sebelum kegiatan Steemit dimulai. Semua peserta hanyut dalam kreativitas Kang Bahar yang melukis dengan tangan kosong dan kaos oblong miliknya. Telapak tangan dan jemari serta guntingan kaos oblong itulah yang dijadikan sebagai kuas. “Saya menggunakan kuas yang diberikan Tuhan, yakni telapak tangan,” sebut Kang Bahar yang memiliki rambut gimbal seperti penyanyi Bob Marley.

Lukisan tersebut akhirnya dilelang dengan harga pembuka Rp1.000.000. Dua Penasihat KSI Chapter Bireuen, @dokter-purnama dan @razack-pulo, serta Ketua KSI Chapter Bireuen, @bahagia-arbi, saling meningkatkan harga lukisan tersebut. Akhirnya, @dokter-purnama mengunci harga lukisan tersebut pada posisi Rp6.500.000. “Sejak pertama kali melihat Kang Bahar dengan sepeda motor, saya sudah simpati,” ungkap @dokter-purnama.

Kreativitas seniman Cimahi memang patut diacungi jempol. Mereka tetap setia berkarya di tengah rendahnya penghargaan terhadap karya seni. Kesetiaan terhadap karya dan kreativitas seharusnya menjadi inspirasi bagi Steemians agar tidak pernah mengeluh ketika penghargaan yang minim. Seniman Cimahi berbuat dengan karya dan perhargaan datang kemudian. Dukungan Pemerintah Kota Cimahi justru bukan dalam bentuk dana, melainkan dukungan fasilitas. Gagasan kegiatan tetap datang dari komunitas seniman.

Dari Aceh untuk Nusantara

Dari Bandung menuju Cimahi seharusnya bisa ditempuh kurang dari 30 menit, begitulah informasi yang kami terima dari panitia. Namun, karena akhir pekan berjumpa dengan libur nasional, banyak jalan di Bandung macet, terutama ke arah Lembang. Ini membuat beberapa agenda Meetup molor, meski tidak mengurangi kemeriahannya.

Acara Meetup dimulai setelah lelang berakhir. Meskipun berlangsung di Cimahi, tetapi sesungguhnya ini panggung milik Steemians asal Aceh, di mana Steemit tumbuh dan berkembang pertama kali sebelum menyebar ke seluruh Nusantara. Moderator acara tersebut adalah @rismanrachman dan @mariska.lubis. untuk pemateri, selain saya dan @levycore, juga ada Kurator game @jodipamungkas, Ketua KSI Chapter Bireuen @bahagia-arbi, Ketua KSI Chapter Banda Aceh @kemal13, Ketua KSI Chapter Medan @kakilasak Juga didukung Steemians aktif lainnya; @abduhawab dan @ayijufridar. Semuanya berbagi pengalaman menuju sukses di Steemit.

Di luar itu, para pengunjung juga berdiskusi di luar panggung dengan banyak anggota KSI yang lebih dulu menjadi memiliki akun di Steemit. Kehadiran Steemians dari Medan, Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, dan Bekasi, membuat acara semakin meriah. Di antara para Steemians, ada yang baru pertama kali bertemu.

Selain komunitas seniman, juga banyak komunitas lain yang hadir dalam 1St Steemit Meetup Bandung, di antaranya komunitas pendongeng. Mereka ada yang sudah memiliki akun di Steemit, tetapi ada juga yang baru mendengar Steemit pada hari itu. Sungguh, Steemians Aceh sudah menyebarkan “virus” Steemit ke Nusantara.

Keakraban yang berlangsung sebelum, saat, dan setelah acara selesai. Perhatian Ketua Panitia Pelaksana @jharyadi dan para anggota KSI Chapter Bandung, sungguh membuat terharu. Sebagai kurator Komunitas Steemit Indonesia, saya mengucapkan terima tak terhingga kepada panitia.
