Welcome to the very FIRST art contest sponsored by myself, @RocketSteem!

A little back story about me, I have no artistic talent AT ALL. I can barely even make a decent looking stick figure person. When I watch people create things on digital or traditional media, it amazes me as to what people can do with just their minds and their hands. It is remarkable. I live vicariously through artists all around the world. One thing that has always fascinated me is the fantasy genre, and I have had the privilege of working with dozens of artists all around the world on fantasy pieces. I have created many projects that involved some sort of storyline, and I always made sure there was art to go with it. So get to the point, right?

I want to give back to all of the talented people in the Steemit community! I am sponsoring this first art contest, and I will continue to do art contests until people are no longer interested in doing them.

Being that my account is new, I have to start by only providing the winner with $20 SBD. As the account grows, the posts get upvoted, people donate to this cause, the prize pool will grow, as well as multiple people being rewarding rather than just one. That being said:

If people want to donate to this contest and to aspiring artists, please donate to my account, comment what was donated, and everything that is donated for this contest will be given right back to the participants!

Contest Rules:

Any media is accepted - Traditional or Digital - The trick with digital media, you can get pictures from anywhere on the internet. If you submit digital media for this, it has to be a picture of your computer screen in a way that we know for sure that you created this digital media.
All submissions must be submitted no later than October 21st, by 11pm EST.
This can be any genre of art! We love it all!
One entry per person
In your picture put your SteemIt name, and put @RocketSteem as well.

Those are some simple rules aren't they? This is just a cool, clean, simple, fun art contest.

Myself and my personal friend who is a huge art fan, @tomj, will be the judges. He has about the same amount of artistic talent as myself, so we will not be competing! We will judge the submissions and announce the winner 24-48 hours after the

How the Winner Will be Decided

Being original, skill, character, overall appearance. It is really hard to judge art. Everyone has a different style. Originality, detail, the emotion the art makes the viewer feel. We take everything into account.

You should get a response to your submission shortly after you comment.

But Guess What??

The winner will receive the $20 SBD, but everyone else that participates will share $5 SBD. If everyone upvotes and resteems the post, then I will increase the shared SBD by $5 for every 10 people. This is if everyone upvotes and resteems!

The big thing, let's have fun. I am going to continue to do this weekly as long as there is an interest. The more the account grows directly from these contests, the more I can give back to the community.
