Event that celebrates the first transaction made with cryptocurrencies in the world made by Laszlo Hanyecz, a programmer from Florida, made the first commercial transaction using Bitcoin. He paid 10,000 Bitcoins for two large Papa John's pizzas on May 22nd, 2010 and this was the first time Bitcoin was used to buy something tangible in the real world. Bitcoin Pizza Day is a perfect example of how crypto culture creates its own traditions and mythology.
