Maybe you're the one I've been searching for
Around the worldI have roamed wide and free
Only to be cornered by your love
At a point in my life
Where I have drawn a tick line
Between my tender heart strings
And love's reaching tentacles.
I have suffered far too much
To be another lonely musical note
In this tragic love song

Maybe you're the one
That will make me happy again
You bring joy to my life in the box of your heart
Wrapped in your beauty
With the colourful ribbons of kindness resting atop

Maybe you're the one I've been writing about all along
Torn pages of desperation
Buried in the darkness of my basement
Never to see the light of hope
Twinkle in my eyes again
Until now...
You rest on the pedestal of my happiness
A beautiful figure of perfection
You are my passage to love again
I hope this time I find light at the end of the tunnel.
