Embroidery? What the heck is that?

Very old-fashioned and only for grannies do you think? Certainly not, it's a trend! And I want to offer you trendy t-shirts that promote Steemit & Fundition, support charity and look good!

How are the T-Shirts made?

I buy a blank t-shirt, always 100% cotton. As soon as it arrives at my home I sit down and draw the design on it, then the embroidery can start. For a filled out motive I need 2-3 days, it is 8-10 hours of work which I must divide, because it is very time-consuming. For an unfilled motive I need a little less than half of that time, but it always depends on the size. It's handwork, it takes time.

Do I only want to exclusively enrich myself?

I would say no, of course I demand money for the t-shirts, because there is a lot of time and work in every shirt, but I don't want to be financed by it. I want to enrich the Steemit community and make Steemit and FUNDITION more popular. I want to offer the community something special and no printed shirts. Of course, they're nice to look at, but embroidery is becoming less and less popular, although in my opinion it looks great, it's something completely different from printed motives. Embroidery is trendy!

There are no limits to embroidery, but I can't do details and very fine, small things. I also would like to promote FUNDITION and have embroidered a part (FUN) on a test shirt. It's an old sleeping shirt from my mom, it's not perfectly clean embroidered, but you understand the idea behind it. I would also like to repay Fundition with 5% Beneficaries for building such a great platform.

The charity behind the project

2€ of each shirt goes to @steemarity, a charity on Steemit. They support different associations in form of money, they take money by donations on Steemit and Upvotes of their posts. Just last month they started a fundraising campaign for a therapy mirror for the therapy centre 3x21 which cares for children with trisomy 21. They are currently raising money for a children's hospice! Therefore, I would like to support them with donations, because I know that everything I donate to them will end up in good hands. 2€ of every sold T-Shirt goes to Steemarity and therefore to the organization they currently support! And 1€ of every sticker-pack. After every paid order I transfer 2€ to @steemarity at the current course in SBD or Steem.

What am I collecting the money for?

As you can see on the right, everyone who donates a certain amount will receive their own t-shirt (if desired). I have sold t-shirts with other designs on Etsy or other platforms. As soon as I got an order, I ordered the blank t-shirt and it takes about 7 days. Then i embroidered and shipped it, which took about 14-20 days in total, so the t-shirt arrived about 1 month after the order. I would like to change that. I'd like to buy a small stock of that money: Tshirts in blue (navy) and black, each in all sizes 4x. Then there will be money for embroidery thread, because I want to buy high quality material to be able to offer the best quality and the best colors. I would like to use the remaining money for "marketing". Promote posts or boost posts from other users who have bought a t-shirt and are writing a post about it.

I have about 8€ material costs per shirt, including shipping.

Who is Misomaniac?

My name is Sandro and I am a future educator. I love creative hobbies like drawing, photography, editing pictures and embroidering. I've been doing embroidery for almost a year, I've never noticed it so consciously before and thought something like this only works with an expensive machine. Then I watched DIY's on YouTube and wanted to try it myself. Then I started embroidering on old T-Shirts and the idea was born. Three months ago, I embroidered and released the first Steemit-related t-shirt. I've been planning this project ever since, and recently there's been this great platform for it, named fundition, it fits perfectly. I have been on Steemit since January 2018 and try to enrich the community.
