On our darkest days we feel empty,

Looking to the ground as if there

Is no beauty left in the world.

Feelings of being alone begin cycling

Through our minds like a lullaby

Waiting to be sung in the moonlight

Of tomorrow.

"Better days are to come",

yet our vision for truth is clouded

by that of Despair.

***

Standing high as if the world is

nowhere near, but yet the weight

is felt upon our shoulders within our

darkest moments of life.

***

Falling to the ground Is a moment

of truth that hits within the heart of hearts.

Picking ourselves up seems to be but a

Distant act of heroism.

***

You’re never alone during these

darkest hours of time. With one blink

there is always a helping hand waiting

to be held.

***

Grabbing hold; we start to pick ourselves

up from this nightmare waiting to

be played out, facing the darkest

fears we never thought to be true.

***

For we are as strong as we allow

Ourselves to be. Only we can stand

In the way of true happiness.
