My Entry for the Pay-it-Forward Curation Contest - Week 21

I love finding new under-valued Steemians and this contest is a great excuse to find fabulous bloggers whose post aren't getting the attention they deserve. In case you aren't aware, the Pay It Forward Curation Contest is a weekly challenge from @pifc to find bloggers to promote.

If you want to know some of the things I look for when curating for Pay-it-Forward, please check out this article on How to Get Curated.

Here are this week's selections - reputation 55 or under.

Okay. @tryskele has been after me for weeks to find a Viking to curate for this contest. I've finally found one! He even speaks Norwegian (han snakker norsk - jeg også - en litt). :-)

Selection 1 - @norwegianbikeman(rep 51)

Random Ramble on a Friday (networking on steemit)

Honestly, I've come across him before, but forgot about it - as it's so easy to do on Steemit, unfortunately. I saw him again around this week as he joined @asapers and checked out his blog again.

I love this "ramble" around Vancouver, BC. His camera and his text are rambling slightly differently, but just as effectively. I already told him that I love how his Norwegian accent comes through his writing, but it's still totally readable. It makes it charming.

The pictures show how bad the smoke has been on the West Coast this year. Fires are relentless, and unless the forest services change their attitude about people removing the standing dead, it's going to keep happening year after year.

Norwegianbikeman has also been working on a new Steem which is worth checking out, especially if you come to this post too late to upvote this Ramble.

Selection 2 - @iwansunarya (rep 51)

Bhinneka Tunggal ika, although we vary, we are still one. This is the meaning of the independence carnival photography.

My cultural article for the week comes from Indonesia again. It's their independence celebration with parades and many people in beautiful traditional dress. From this article it sounds like almost everyone is represented by someone in this parade.

I love to see people taking pride in their ancestral history - it helps to keep their culture alive even in the pressures of our modern world monoculture.

This blogger has other cultural articles as well, all worth checking out and supporting.

Hoorah for the return of the bonus selection! This week, we're to find a brand new blogger from the "introduce yourself" tag.

Bonus Selection - @rierie.marie (rep 36)

The Challenges of Life Made Me Who I AM

What can I say? This is an outstanding introduction post!
Eunice shares her life lesson of how her challenges have made her who she is today. It's an excellent and poignant lesson that we all need to remember. It's no use thinking about whose shoes you'd rather be in. You are uniquely suited for your own shoes.

This blogger shows every sign of being a great one - as long as we as Steemians support her as she deserves. She has mine.

These are my selections for this week. Please visit them and give them some love - even if you don't have voting power to spare, a kind word can make all the difference!

Note: All images remain property of the original poster. I've only used their locations.
